-Delta Air Lines announced Friday it will pay out $1.5 billion in profit-sharing to its employees, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported. It’s the largest employee profit sharing payment, Delta told its employees. The payouts are about 21.4 percent of a worker’s eligible annual pay.

-Cranky Flier took a closer look at the House Bill filed to split air traffic control into its own entity. “The plan is a lot like what I expected to see, but it’s missing a key component: what it’ll actually cost,” Cranky wrote in this blog post.

-American Airlines launched its new Tokyo Haneda service out of Los Angeles last week. According to Nikkei, the airline hopes its new service will attract Japanese customers wanting to travel to Latin America.
