Southwest Airlines said its passenger traffic grew 11.1 percent in January as it continued to add capacity to its network.
The Dallas-based carrier said its capacity rose 7.8 percent and its load factor was a record 77.5 percent, up 2.3 percentage points from January 2015.
Southwest told investors its expects unit revenues for the quarter to be about the same as the first quarter of 2015.
