-An American Airlines flight from Miami to Milan was diverted to Newfoundland, Canada after it encountered severe turbulence. Three flight attendants and four passengers were injured in the incident and taken to the hospital, CNN reports.
-Several East Coast airports are still digging out from the weekend’s snowstorms and 1,500 flights are canceled on Monday. According to USA Today, over 12,000 flights have been canceled since Friday. Washington D.C.’s Dulles and Reagan airports were closed most of Sunday as the airports dealt with drifting snow on its runways.
-Debris found on a beach in Thailand may be linked to missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370. Malaysian civil aviation officials have contacted Thailand about the debris but cautioned the public not to speculate that the debris measuring 6.5 feet by 10 feet is part of the missing aircraft, reported CBS News.
