Most Read No. 3: American Airlines CEO says contract proposals to ground workers to have double-digit pay increases

During a town hall meeting in Dallas/Fort Worth, American Airlines chief executive Doug Parker told ground workers and mechanics that they will be offered “double-digit” pay increases during contract negotiations.

The Fort Worth-based airline has already reached new joint contract contracts with its pilots, flight attendants, gate agents and customer service representatives. However, talks with its mechanics and ground workers unions didn’t begin until about a month ago.
