American Airlines adds two directors to its board

American Airlines announced Wednesday that it has expanded its board of directors to thirteen members, adding two new directors.

The Fort Worth-based carrier appointed Susan D. Kronick, 64 and Martin H. Nesbitt, to its board.

Kronick is an operating partner at Marvin Traub Associates and previously held several executive positions at Macy’s Inc. She also serves on the board of Hyatt Hotels.

Nesbitt is chief execuitve of The Vistria Group in Chicago and was previously the chief executive of The Parking Spot. He currently serves on the board of directors of Jones Lang LaSalle and Norfolk Southern Corp.

“We are very pleased to welcome Sue and Marty to American Airlines,” said American chief executive Doug Parker in a statement. “These seasoned executives bring unique perspectives shaped by their extensive leadership experiences and strong community ties in two of our hubs, Miami and Chicago. We look forward to their contributions.”
