The Dallas-based carrier said its capacity grew 6.7 percent and its planes were full with a record load factor of 86.2 percent in June.

Southwest told investors it expects its second quarter unit revenues to drop 4 to 5 percent when compared to the second quarter of 2014.

So far this year, Southwest has added more flights at Dallas Love Field and Washington Reagan National Airport, growing its network capacity by 6.5 percent.
