In a short video posted on Friday, Southwest Airlines’ chief commercial officer Bob Jordan apologized for website problems customers encountered this week.

“The response to our sale which we launched on Tuesday has been tremendous and the volume has just overwhelmed our site,” Jordan said. “We’ve had all hands on deck working on the issue.”

The airline’s website was functioning normally on Friday morning, the company said.
