Southwest Airlines announced it has reached a new four-year contract agreement with its flight dispatchers.
The contract, which needs to be ratified by the 250 flight dispatchers, include wage increases and bonuses tied to individual and company performance.
“Having this extension done prior to our amendable date allows our dispatchers to remain focused on the task of ensuring Southwest Airlines passengers and aircraft move safely and efficiently,” said Mike Connor, president of the Transport Workers Union Local 550 which represents flight dispatchers.
Recently, Southwest’s flight simulator technicians ratified their new four-year contract and the carrier reached agreements with its customer service agents and customer representatives late last year.
