Three top American executives sell stock for $33 million

With American Airlines’ stock trading around $50 a share, three of the carrier’s top executives cashed in some of their lucrative holdings.

The sales, disclosed in three filings made on Friday and Monday, showed the executives netting over $33 million.

President Scott Kirby received $20 million from the stock sales while chief operating officer Robert Isom received $8 million. Chief financial officer Derek Kerr raised $5.2 million from his stock sales.

All three continue to hold significant amounts of American stock [ticker: AAL] worth almost $100 million based on Monday’s closing price of $48.99.
