Southwest says March passenger traffic rose 6.7 percent

Southwest Airlines said its passenger traffic increased 6.7 percent in March as the airline added 4.4 percent in capacity to its route network.

Planes were also fuller as the load factor rose 1.8 percentage points to 84.5 percent.

The Dallas-based carrier also told investors that its unit revenues grew about 1 percent when compared to March 2014.

Southwest plans to release its first quarter earnings on April 23.
