Southwest Airlines said its passenger traffic in January grew 4.6 percent as the carrier added 6.2 percent more capacity to its network.
Planes were not as full as the Dallas-based carrier’s load factor dropped 1.2 percentage points to 76.3 percent when compared to January 2015.
Southwest also told investors it expects unit revenues to be flat to down one percent in the first quarter of this year.
