-American Airlines’ mechanics in Tulsa found 30 pounds of cocaine in the nose of a Boeing 757 that was scheduled for maintenance, the Tulsa World reports. The plane which had operated a flight from Bogota, Colombia to Miami was initially scheduled to have its maintenance conducted in Miami but was sent to Tulsa because of a scheduling issue.
-Delta operations are getting back to normal after the Atlanta-based carrier had a computer outage on Sunday evening. According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, President Donald Trump partially blamed Delta in a tweet for causing “big problems” at airports.
-Following Trump’s executive order on Friday banning people from seven countries from entering the U.S., international airlines scrambled to reaarange flight crews for flights to the U.S. as some of their staff were on the banned list. Bloomberg News reports that Lufthansa and Emirates Airline both made adjustments to their crew staffing following the order since it affects people with dual passports.
