“I cannot tell a lie. Southwest is the best,” declared Southwest Airlines chief executive Gary Kelly as he kicked off the carrier’s annual Halloween celebration dressed as our nation’s first president, George Washington.
Southwest executives donned colonial apparel as founding fathers and mothers, including Alexander Hamilton and Betsy Ross, for a patriotic-themed Halloween.
Kelly said that with the presidential elections this year, it seemed fitting to wear a presidential costume. Plus, the powdered wigs and tri-fold hats didn’t take as long to get into as last year’s Snow White theme, he added.
