-American Airlines’ technology systems transfer went smoothly, according to the Wall Street Journal. The Fort Worth-based carrier migrated former US Airways pilots on to a new flight operations systems on Saturday.
-Air rage has become all the rage. According to the Associated Press, there were 10,854 air rage incidents reported by airlines worldwide last year, up from 9,316 in 2014. Incidents have been rising almost consistently since 2007 when an industry trade group began tracking them.
-One of China’s largest airlines, Xiamen Airlines, launched its first flight to the U.S. last week. CNBC reports that Xiamen inaugurated its first flight between Seattle and Shenzhen on Monday. Xiamen, which is part of the SkyTeam alliance, has more than 140 Boeing aircraft and has an all-Boeing fleet.
