Amazon said Friday that it will hire about 2,500 seasonal workers for its three Metroplex facilities, including its fulfillment center at Alliance in far north Fort Worth.
Last week, Amazon said it would be hiring for about 80,000 seasonal jobs nationwide. The online retailer operates a 1.1-million-square-foot fulfillment center at Alliance, as well as a similar-size facility in Coppell. It also has a sorting center in Irving.
Amazon opened the fulfillment center in mid-2013 and has signed a 15-year lease on the property, along Westport Parkway in the Haslet section of the sprawling development.
Alliance developer Hillwood sold the property that year to Bentall Kennedy in Canada, on behalf of one of its institutional investors.
