Ford shows off new Expedition at auto show in Dallas

Ford Motor Co. unveiled its 2015 Expedition on Tuesday at the DFW Auto Show in Dallas.

Launching later this year, the new model of the full-size sport utility features a new interior and enhanced technology including the radar-based Blind Spot Information System with cross-traffic alert.

The new Expedition will also feature a 3.5-liter, direct-injection, twin turbocharged EcoBoost V6 engine that Ford says delivers more power and performance than the current 5.4-liter V-8 engine.

Ford said Dallas-Fort Worth was the leading market in the country for the Expedition in 2013, with sales of more than 18,000 vehicles.

The DFW Auto Show will run from Wednesday through Sunday ay the Dallas Convention Center. Hours are 4-10 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday; 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m.-7 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are $12 for adults, $5 for seniors 65 and older and $5 for children 6-12.
