Cotton makes move official

It's official.

The Cotton Bowl is heading to Arlington.

The 74-member Cotton Bowl Board approved the move of the annual New Year’s Day game to the new Dallas Cowboys stadium in a vote this morning, said Cotton Bowl spokesman Charlie Fiss.

Details of the move will be announced at an 11 a.m. news conference at the Hilton Anatole. Arlington could host the game as early as January 2010. The Dallas Cowboys stadium is currently under construction adjacent to Ameriquest Field and is expected to be open fall of 2009.
