Senior Chaney Uhles made a hole-in-one en route to a career-low round of 70, and the TCU women’s golf team finished in a tie for 11th on Tuesday at the Alamo Invitational in San Antonio.
Uhles, a Fort Worth native who attended Hill School, aced the par-3, 162-yard eighth hole at Briggs Ranch Golf Club.
Freshman Emmy Martin paced the Horned Frogs, finishing tied for 10th among individuals with a three-round total of 4-under 212. TCU carded a 287 on Tuesday, its best round of the tournament.
LSU won the tournament with a score of 841. TCU was at 882. Texas A&M was fourth, Baylor was sixth and SMU was eighth.
• TCU men’s golf: The Horned Frogs finished seventh at the Quail Vally Intercollegiate in Vero Beach, Fla. Sophomore Chelso Barrett shot a 1-over 73 and tied for seventh individually.
• UTA men’s golf: The Mavericks finished eighth at the Royal Oaks Intercollegiate in Dallas. Sophomore Zach Galliford was UTA’s top finisher, tied for ninth.
