Rangers outfielder Shin-Soo Choo has donated $100,000 for the construction of the new Korean Cultural Center of Dallas.
Choo, who signed with Texas as a free agent in December 2013, played with multiple injuries in his first season with the club and finally was sidelined in August.
He made the donation at a Korean Society of Dallas meeting last week
“Our Korean heritage is very important to me and my family,” Choo said in a Rangers’ release. “I am honored to contribute for the creation and building of a facility where the beauty and wonder of our traditional holidays and festivals can be shared with and experienced by our children and also be a place where the Korean language can be taught to generations of individuals.”
