The daily STEW (Star-Telegram Editorial Writers): Now that Love Field is open to nonstop long-haul flights beyond the former Wright Amendment perimeters, do you believe you will go there more often for your travel, perhaps driving past DFW Airport on your way? What’s more important in that decision, price or flight schedule?

For me, I will continue to use DFW Airport. I’ve priced SWA tickets and I find them not competitive with the other airlines. Living in the western side of Tarrant County, it’s much easier for us to use DFW Airport. I wish Love Field much success though. Melissa Everett Berger

It has to be price in this economy. Counting pennies has become a way of life. Connie Cranford

I always did because of Southwest. Randy Pistorius

Price of course. Considering that this will bring more jobs, it would have been nice to drop the amendment sooner. David Staine

I don’t fly much, but when I do, it’s from DFW. If Dallas had kept its word, Love Field would have been closed. Can anyone think of a time that Dallas kept its word? Terry Evans

No, because I fly mostly in Asia when going on vacation, DFW is more convenient for me. It is great to have options though. Josef Gratts

I was already a Southwest girl. Now I will travel more because of their nonstop flights and special air fares. Pam Brooks

Price. I’m 15 minutes from DFW and I choose Love regularly. Now with Southwest and Virgin there, I’m dancing a jig. I will be watching the DFW prices, though. Martha Wright

Price and flight schedule are always two main considerations for me, not which airport. Katherine Phillips

Drive to Dallas? In all that traffic? BJ Elston Sides

It would take a lot to get me to use Love. DFW is far enough from my house and I always get lost coming back from Love field for some reason. Claire Wood
