Holiday festivities


Sundance Square Christmas Tree lighting

6 p.m., Sundance Square Plaza, downtown Fort Worth.

Festivities begin with live entertainment at 4 p.m., followed by the tree lighting at 6 p.m. and photos with Santa, 6:30-10:30 p.m.


Southlake Home for the Holidays

5:30 p.m., Southlake Town Square, 1256 Main St.

Events begin with live music, and activities are 5:30-8:30 p.m. City leaders will light the tree at 6:30 p.m.


Main Street illumination — Grapevine

7 p.m. Main Street, Historic Downtown Grapevine.

The city lights more than one million lights along Main Street, and guests will enjoy musical performances, fireworks and hot chocolate at the free event. The all-new Light Show Spectacular at Main Street and Dallas Road runs 6-11 p.m. nightly through Jan. 4 and features a singing tree, beautiful lights and family fun.


Texas Motor Speedway Gift of Lights

6-10 p.m. through Jan. 1, Texas Motor Speedway, 3545 Lone Star Circle, Fort Worth.

Features drive-through exhibit feature more than 600 LED light displays and benefits local charities.

XTO Energy Parade of Lights

6 p.m. in downtown Fort Worth. Parade begins at Belknap and Throckmorton streets and winds its way through downtown before ending at Houston and Weatherford streets.

Features more than 100 floats, photos with Santa Claus at the Sundance Square Christmas Tree and other activities.

Shuttle service from Farrington Field, where parking is free, is $1.75 each way. Service begins at 2 p.m. and the last shuttle returns to Farrington at 10 p.m.

Nov. 29

Parker County Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony

7-7:15 p.m. Parker County Courthouse, downtown Weatherford.

Christmas tree lighting ceremony will also feature the singing of carols.

Dec. 2

Speedway Charities Christmas Tree Lighting

6 p.m., Texas Motor Speedway, 3545 Lone Star Circle, Fort Worth.

The annual lighting of the Christmas tree, a 61-foot Douglas fir is the centerpiece of the Speedway Charities-Texas Chapter grant ceremony.

Hurst Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony

5-9 p.m., Hurst Conference Center, 1601 Campus Drive, Hurst

Features snow tubing hill, Santa’s workshop, tree lighting and fireworks., 817-788-7320

Westlake Community Tree Lighting

6-8 p.m., Westlake Academy, 2600 J.T. Ottinger Road

Join Santa and his gang for a free kick-off to the holiday season with the lighting of the campus and trees. Live entertainment provided by Vocal Trash, and there will be games, a cupcake walk, hot beverages from the Marriott Solana hotel and cookies to decorate from Viandas Foods.

Santa and other North Pole visitors will be around for photos with guests.

Mansfield Hometown Holidays

5-9 p.m., Mansfield City Hall, 1200 E. Broad St., Mansfield

Features snow hill, Mr. & Mrs. Claus, penguins from the Dallas Zoo, tree lighting, fireworks., 817-276-4200

Keller Holly Days

6 p.m., Keller Town Center, 1100 Bear Creek Parkway, Keller

The Very Merry Light Parade begins at 6:30 p.m. and the Santa Scurry 5K Run/Walk begins at 7:30, and other activities include the Christmas tree lighting, Santa’s arrival, a two-lane tubing snow hill and entertainment. Cost is one nonperishable food item to be donated to the Community Storehouse., 817-743-4050

Saginaw Christmas Tree Lighting

6:30 p.m., Saginaw Recreation Center, 633 W. McLeroy Blvd.

Holiday music and performances from schoolchildren, the lighting of the tree, and a visit and small prize for each child from Santa. Nonperishable food items that will be donated to Community Link Mission of Saginaw will be collected., 817-230-0350

Bedford Christmas Tree Lighting

4-6 p.m., Old Bedford School and Bedford Public Library

Classic Christmas cartoons, 4-5 p.m.; cookie decorating, 4-5:30 p.m.; Santa arrives at 6 p.m., followed by tree lighting.

Colleyville Tree Lighting

5:30 p.m. in front of Colleyville City Hall, 100 Main St.

Next door, the Colleyville Library will hosts games, refreshments and free photos with Santa before and after the 5:30 p.m. tree lighting.

Mansfield Hometown Holidays Parade

2:30 p.m., St. Jude Catholic Church, 500 E. Dallas St., Mansfield

Annual holiday parade rolls down Main Street. This year’s theme is “Inside Santa’s Workshop.”, 817-276-4200

Breakfast With Santa, Keller

8, 9 and 10 a.m. at Keller Pointe, 405 Rufe Snow Drive, Keller

Features a pancake breakfast and pictures with Santa Claus, snow and snowman-building., 817-743-4050

Arlington Parade of Lights

6 p.m.; parade starts at corner of Main and Center streets in downtown

Arlington’s parade ends with tree lighting at City Hall and photos with Santa at Levitt Pavilion. Pre-parade entertainment is 4-6 p.m.

North Richland Hills Night of Holiday Magic

4-8 p.m., NRH20 Family Water Park, 9001 Boulevard 26.

Features music, mini-train rides, photos with Santa, fireworks, holiday shopping and the tree lighting.

Christmas on Broadway, Haltom City

3-6 p.m., Haltom Recreation Center and Broadway Park, 4839 Broadway Ave.

Features live music, petting zoo, carriage and train rides, crafts and games and a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Euless Christmas Parade of Lights

6:30 p.m., starts at intersection of Midway Drive and Industrial Boulevard.

Parade travels east on Midway and ends at the Euless Family Life Center.

Dec. 17-25

Interlochen holiday lights, 7-11 p.m. daily, Arlington

Annual Christmas lights extravaganza begins at Randol Mill Road and Westwood Drive in Arlington.
