A motorist was killed early Saturday and another driver was seriously injured in a weekend Benbrook wreck on U.S. 377, Benbrook police said Monday.
Officials with the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office on Monday identified the victim as Lexa Danae Adams, 29. Authorities did not have a hometown for Adams.
The crash was reported shortly before 2:30 a.m. Saturday on U.S. 377 at Stevens Drive in Benbrook.
Adams was driving a Kia northbound on the highway when the car crossed in the southbound lanes and hit a Toyota sports utility vehicle, Benbrook police said. Police on Monday did not release any information on what caused the car to swerve.
Adams was pronounced dead at the scene, Benbrook police said.
The 28-year-old SUV driver who suffered serious injuries was taken to a local hospital. He was listed in critical condition Monday at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth. Benbrook police did not release his identity.
Authorities on Monday continued their investigation of the fatal wreck.
