Street closings begin for Fort Worth arts festival

Getting in and out of downtown will be a bit more challenging over the next couple of days as streets are shut down for the Main St. Fort Worth Arts Festival.

The annual festival, which draws thousands of people, begins Thursday and continues through Sunday.

Because the festival is set up on Main Street from the Tarrant County Courthouse to the Fort Worth Convention Center, most cross streets will be closed.

Sixth and Seventh streets will remain open until 6 p.m. on Thursday and Friday to let commuters in and out of downtown, but the traffic will be slow-moving.
