More than 60 cement trucks delivered 600 yards of concrete on Tuesday for the football-field-size wave pool that is one of the main attractions for the Hawaiian Falls water and venture park under construction in White Settlement.
North Texas’ first combination water and adventure park will open Memorial Day weekend.
The $13 million entertainment complex features a 20,000-square-foot indoor family arcade, private party rooms and a restaurant. The Aloha Conference Center will seat 400 people for dining and 1,000 for meetings.
Hawaiian Falls will also feature a 10,000 square foot activity pool with a floating obstacle course, splash pads and water walks. Other attractions include a 1,000-foot river and water slides.
The adventure park, which will be open year-round features multilevel ropes courses, an adventure trail climbing net, military-style obstacle course, rapelling walls and a six-story free-fall attraction.
Hawaiian Falls will employ around 300 seasonal workers during the summer and 100 people year-round at the adventure park and conference center, which is expected to attract 300,000 visitors a year.
