A driver was killed Saturday morning when she was hit by a Green Line DART train while trying to cross the tracks in Dallas.
Dallas Area Rapid Transit spokesman Morgan Lyons said the accident happened just before 9 a.m. at the intersection of Scyene Road and South Second Avenue. The woman drove onto the tracks after the warning lights and bells went off and the arms lowered.
She was declared dead at the scene, he said.
Four passengers on the train reported injuries, but none was treated or transferred to a hospital, Lyons said.
An investigation is underway to find the cause of the accident. The woman had not been identified as of Saturday evening, Lyons said.
