‘Wild’ added to Lone Star Film Festival

Wild, one of the major fall film releases, has been added to the lineup at Fort Worth’s Lone Star Film Festival which runs Nov. 5-9. The film, part of the Christopher Kelly Modern Cinema Series, will screen at 8 p.m. Nov. 7 at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth.

Directed by Jean-Marc Vallée ( Dallas Buyers Club), written by Nick Hornby ( About a Boy, An Education), and starring Reese Witherspoon, Wild tells the story of a woman who sets out on a 1000-mile solo hike. It’s based on the memoir by Cheryl Strayed.

The Imitation Game, starring Benedict Cumberbatch, had been scheduled to screen on Nov. 7 but has been moved to Nov. 5.

Wild opens commercially in December.

The Lone Star Film Festival takes place at the AMC Palace 9 and the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth. For more information, go to www.lonestarfilmfestival.com.
