New vehicle sales in DFW rise by 9% in November

Sales of new cars and trucks in North Texas’ four biggest counties rose 9 percent in November, putting them up 8 percent for the first 11 months of 2013.

Those figures match sales trends in the U.S., which logged the best November since 2003 with 1.24 million vehicles sold, according to Automotive News.

DFW dealers sold 23,897 vehicles last month, bringing sales to 327,390 this year, according to The Freeman Metroplex Recap, which tracks vehicle registrations.

Tarrant County had an 8 percent gain last month and is up 4.4 percent for the year. Those figures include registrations by rental-car fleets at Dallas/Fort Worth Airport.

Denton County had the best November, up 21 percent, and is 11 percent higher for the year. Collin County is up the most for the year, 14 percent, and gained 16.5 percent in November.

Dallas County was up 4.7 percent in November and 8 percent for the year.
