ACM parties and packages for country music lovers

CBS

For a few days this month, the center of the country-music universe will be in Arlington, as the Academy of Country Music brings its nationally televised awards show to AT&T Stadium on April 19.

The 50th annual ACM Awards will be co-hosted by country superstars Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan. The 3 1/2-hour telecast will feature performances from a who’s who of Nashville A-listers: Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Garth Brooks, Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, Miranda Lambert, Reba McEntire and George Strait are just a few of the acts scheduled to appear at AT&T Stadium.

Should you find yourself, like the title of the 1960 George Jones single, with Money to Burn, you can rub elbows with country music’s top-shelf talent.

For those wanting to participate in this special event, which includes multiple concerts, galas and charity functions, be prepared to pay up for one of the many ACM-sanctioned premium packages. (As of press time, ticket-only packages for the ACM Awards and the two-day Party for a Cause festival were available on Ticketmaster, $250-$500.)

“The VIP experience packages offer the ultimate country fan an exclusive front-row seat to all the exciting festivities surrounding the 50th anniversary,” says Tiffany Moon, Academy of Country Music executive vice president and managing director. “The single most valuable thing in all the ticket packages is the once-in-a-lifetime experience to be part of the academy’s golden anniversary and the largest awards show ever staged.”

In other words, an opportunity to make some truly priceless memories.

ACM Lifting Lives “One Night, Two Cities, All Music” Benefit Gala

Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood will host the inaugural ACM Lifting Lives Benefit Gala on April 17 — with a catch. The gala (or, more accurately, galas) will take place simultaneously in Fort Worth and Dallas, at the Fort Worth Zoo and the Dallas Omni Hotel. (Brooks and Yearwood will shuttle between both events, making appearances at both.) The Fort Worth gala will be co-hosted by TV personality Nancy O’Dell and will feature performances from Keith Urban and Little Big Town. The Dallas gala, co-hosted by talk-show host Montel Williams, will feature music from Lady Antebellum and Hunter Hayes. The Band Perry will also make appearances at both galas. Proceeds from both events will benefit Texas organizations such as the Child Life Zones in Cook Children’s Hospital of Fort Worth and Children’s Health Hospital of Dallas. $1,250 per individual ticket; tables available for $10,000.

ACM Lifting Lives Celebrity Golf Classic

On April 18, in Farmers Branch, country star Darius Rucker will host the fourth annual ACM Lifting Lives Celebrity Golf Classic at Brookhaven Country Club. “This event brings together country music artists and other members of the music community in a star-studded scramble to raise funds and awareness for ACM Lifting Lives’ Diane Holcomb Emergency Relief Fund,” Moon says. “This fund enables ACM Lifting Lives to respond quickly to unforeseen, immediate financial needs of music-related organizations and individuals.” $1,000 per individual player; $4,000 per foursome.

ACM Charity Motorcycle Ride and Concert

Dierks Bentley will host this unique event, which features mini-concerts at two different motorcycle dealerships — Will Hoge at Strokers Dallas and Joey Hyde at Grand Prairie’s Longhorn Harley-Davidson — before attendees ride to Carrollton and Maverick Harley-Davidson, where Bentley, along with Clare Dunn, James Otto, Thompson Square, Montgomery Gentry and more will perform. Proceeds will benefit ACM Lifting Lives, as well as local advocacy groups including Bikers Against Child Abuse, and military philanthropies like the Wounded Warrior Project. $75 per person.

Red Carpet Premium Stage Experience

This package includes exclusive access to the ACM Awards’ red carpet and a VIP lounge, a special red carpet viewing area and a chance to have your photo taken on the red carpet, as well as a chance to watch rehearsals for the show inside AT&T Stadium. The package also features a front-row ticket to the ACM Awards, along with a commemorative program, a three-disc compilation of ACM award-winning hits, a VIP laminate and a ticket to the official ACM after-party, taking place on AT&T Stadium’s West Plaza. $1,799 per person.

Party for a Cause Fan VIP Experience

The Party for a Cause festival will take over Globe Life Park on April 17-18, and feature performances from many of the artists competing for awards this year: Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert, Kenny Chesney, Florida Georgia Line, Sam Hunt, Eli Young Band, Alabama, Clint Black, Patty Loveless and Ronnie Milsap are some of the artists scheduled to appear. This package includes a front-row ticket for both days, along with Party for a Cause merchandise, access to a VIP entrance, private restrooms and a private cash bar. $999 per person.
