Flying Saucer Draught Emporium is pretty much all about beer. Oh, there’s food there, too, but chances are, with more 250 beers to choose from, you’re going to have a beer with that food.
But there’s one day a year that’s more about beer there than others, and that’s the day of BeerFeast. It happens in October, usually right around the time it’s tolerable to be outside in Texas again after months of summer heat (or in this year’s case, summer heat and rain).
Flying Saucer Fort Worth has announced that this year’s BeerFeat will take place from 2 to 6:30 p.m. Oct. 10. Yes, that’s a ways off, but tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. June 17. That’s tomorrow, if you’re reading this Tuesday afternoon.
BeerFeast features some 80 selections from more than 50 breweries, With admission, you get a BeerFeast tasing glass and a tasting card good for 12 samples of any of the festival beers.
Tickets for BeerFeast 2015 are $35 and will be available at the Saucer (111 E. Third St. in dowtown Fort Worth) or online at www.SaucerBeerFeast.com. If you wait till the day of the event, you might be able to score tickets if they’re available, but they’ll go up to $45.
A limited number of VIP tickets are also available for purchase online only before the festival for $65 and will sell out quickly. In addition to the tasting card. VIP ticketsholders get a 2015 VIP commemorative taster glass, admission to the festival one hour early; a food voucher; a BeerFeast 2015 T-shirt; and access to a VIP-only line for the hourly rare-brew tappings.
Additional 12-sample taster cards will be available for purchase by all VIP and general admission ticket holders for just $3 on the day of the festival. Designated driver tickets can be purchased for $15 and include admission to the festival and complimentary soft drinks. As you might expect, this is all for people 21 and older.
