Here are some stories that are keeping moms and dads buzzing:

1. ‘Fresh Off the Boat’ blogger trip

It started with this post from “Hapa Mama” who wrote a letter to ABC wondering where the Asian American mom bloggers on a recent junket that included meeting cast members of the new show “Fresh Off the Boat.”

Grace Hwang Lynch wrote: “I am tremendously disappointed in finding out on Instagram this afternoon that there was a “Fresh Off the Boat” blogger event in conjunction with the “Big Hero 6” event today, and that not only was I not included in this, but that none of the influential Asian American bloggers were. I never heard back from Ellen Gonzalez at ABC.”

The blog inspired several Facebook discussions and debates. Here’s a round-up of views on the subject:

2. To vaccinate or not?

Many read this dad’s account of how an unvaccinated child exposed his daughter, who has cancer, to measles.

He wrote: “Unvaccinating parent, thanks for screwing up our three week “vacation” from chemotherapy. Instead of a break, we get to watch for measles symptoms and pray for no fevers (or back to the hospital we go).”

3. Itty, bitty homes

As an itty, bitty person, I would love to live simply but I am a pack rat. This doesn’t mean I can’t dream of living just like this:

This is the best mobile home I’ve ever seen:

4. If only I took better care of my Cabbage patch doll

Honestly, as a child of the 80s -- and a pack rat -- this story depressed me.
