Six Flags Over Texas and Hurricane Harbor are adding attractions next summer, the amusement park company said Thursday.
Hurricane Harbor will add a “multi-featured” water slide, Six Flags said.
Six Flags Over Texas said it will buff up its children’s section to include an “interactive play area,” new kids’ rides and more seating where parents can “sit, relax and cool off while the youngsters explore.”
Jim Brothers, Six Flags’ marketing director, said that the Hurricane Harbor slide complex is still under development and that the company expects to have more details on it soon.
“We are committed to delivering thrilling new attractions in every park every year and are tremendously excited about the 2014 season,” Jim Reid-Anderson, CEO of the Grand Prairie company, said in a release.
“Next season's lineup is one of our most comprehensive packages ever as we truly offer something for every member of the family, from ultimate thrill-seekers to our youngest guests. Six Flags is going bigger each year as we create fun, thrilling and lasting memories for our guests.”
Six Flags announced new attractions at its 18 parks. No update was provided on the investigation of the Texas Giant roller coaster, which has been closed since a woman fell to her death from it in July.
