FORT WORTH -- A 105-bed assisted-living center for the elderly and those with dementia and Alzheimer's is planned in southwest Fort Worth near Bryant Irvin Road and Interstate 20.
Developers are expected to break ground by the end of the year on the 100,000-square-foot senior-living community, which will include a 24-bed center for memory care, an official said. The facility is expected to open in January 2014.
"This is going to be a facility that we will be proud to put a family member in, that will have the luxury and amenities that one would want for their parent or family member," said Marc Goldman, principal and founding partner of SRP Medical, one of the developers. "We're excited."
SRP Medical, formerly part of the Staubach Co., is partnering with Frontier Management, which operates more than 50 senior-living communities in nine states.

Developers recently broke ground on a similar community in Spring, outside Houston. That community, Magnolia Heights, is expected to house 60 apartments in an 85,000-square-foot facility, officials said. It is expected to open next year.
SRP Medical is a real estate investment and development company focused on healthcare and senior-care projects in the southern U.S.
