Black Friday will turn bright tonight in downtown Fort Worth with the annual Chesapeake Energy Parade of Lights, themed "Christmas Delights!," featuring more than 100 floats, marching bands, cars, and horses and riders.
Festivities kick off at 2 p.m. at the Holiday Fun Zone presented by XTO Energy in the Chisholm Trail parking lot between Third and Fourth streets. The fun includes holiday crafts, games, live entertainment and bounce houses.
At 5 p.m., Cowboy Santas will begin walking the parade route collecting unwrapped toys for needy children.
At 6 p.m., the parade begins and is expected to last about two hours.
About 7:45 p.m., after the parade, the Sundance Square Christmas tree will be lit.
From about 8 to 10 p.m., photos can be taken with Santa, with proceeds benefiting the Fort Worth Sister Cities Youth Scholarship Program.
The parade is free, but reserved seating is available for purchase.
The parade will be shown tape-delayed at 8 tonight on TXA/Channel 21

Several downtown streets will be closed all day today; streets that will be closed after 4:30 p.m. include Spur 280 and Belknap Street from Interstate 35W. Leave early and plan on staying awhile.
T bus service will be free from 4 to 11 p.m.
Catch the Trinity Railway Express to downtown Fort Worth from stations in Richland Hills, Hurst and east Fort Worth (CentrePort). Regular fares apply.

From the west: Use Seventh Street or Cherry Street.
From the south: Use Henderson Street or South Main Street.
From the north: Use Henderson Street.
From the east: Use Lancaster Avenue.
