Bedford police are investigating the death of a 3-month-old boy just days after paramedics had found him not breathing in an apartment, a Bedford police official said Wednesday.
Investigators are awaiting autopsy results and medical records, Bedford police Lt. Kirk Roberts said on Wednesday.
The boy was identified as Romeo Wright, who died shortly after 5 p.m. Tuesday at Cook Children's Medical Center in Fort Worth.
A ruling on his death is pending Wednesday, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner's office website.
Patrol officers responded to a call shortly after 5 p.m. Thursday of a baby not breathing at an apartment in the 2400 block of Harwood Road in Bedford.
Romeo was taken to the Fort Worth hospital where he died on Tuesday.
Bedford police did not release any additional details on Wednesday.
