Before football fans file into Cowboys Stadium for the Super Bowl next month, food fanatics will gather in the Fort Worth Convention Center for the Taste of the NFL culinary event.
Featuring more than 50 chefs from across the country -- including such local notables as Kent Rathbun, Grady Spears, Brian Olenjack and Jon Bonnell -- and benefiting local food banks, this "Party with a Purpose" on Feb. 5 is THE foodie event of the year in North Texas.

The Star-Telegram is giving away two tickets. Well, not exactly giving them away -- that would be too easy; after all, the tickets run $500 apiece.

We want you to cook your way there, just like the chefs have done. Here's how the contest works:
1. Make a video of yourself cooking something impressive. Keep it to 3 minutes in length (we'll be strict on this!); pretend you're a celebrity chef on a morning TV show with very limited time to convince the audience that your dish is pretty tasty. You don't have to cook a dish start to finish, but give us an idea of what you're cooking, the ingredient list, the skills you use to cook it, and perhaps most importantly -- why you love it.
2. Upload the video to YouTube, Vimeo or any other commercial video upload site and send us a link, or drop off your video file in either .wmv or .mp4 format (no other formats accepted) at our offices at 400 W. Seventh St., Fort Worth. Include your name, age, address, daytime and evening phone numbers and e-mail address.
A panel of judges including Star-Telegram editors and local chefs will view the videos and choose one winner to receive two tickets to Taste of the NFL. The winner also will be featured in an upcoming Your Life section of the Star-Telegram and on Star-Telegram.com.
Deadline: Submissions are due by 10 a.m. Friday.
Entry: Send e-mails with website links to email@example.com with "Taste of the NFL contest" in the subject line. The winner will be notified by phone or e-mail by Tuesday.
Other rules: You must live in Tarrant County or surrounding areas to enter. You must be able to be present at Taste of the NFL on Feb. 5 to enter. Star-Telegram employees and their families, and Super Bowl Host Committee members and their families may not enter.
