FORT WORTH -- Jewish college students are invited to eat and mingle Sunday at Congregation Ahavath Sholom in southwest Fort Worth.
After eating brunch with the synagogue's new interim rabbi, Gary Perras, the students will be encouraged to discuss issues of concern and then meet and visit with one another.
"This is a wonderful opportunity for the Jewish young people from affiliated and nonaffiliated families of the Fort Worth area to get together and maintain their connections with Judaism and each other," said Ted Hoffman, chairman of the College Liaison Committee of Congregation Ahavath Sholom, who is helping organize the event.
The event, at 4050 S. Hulen St., is free, and all Jewish college students are welcome.
