ARLINGTON -- An Arlington woman who was struck and killed by a pickup near Cowboys Stadium Tuesday afternoon has been identified.
Carol Monthey, 70, was walking her dog when she crossed Randol Mill Road near Enclave Circle in north Arlington and was struck by the pickup, Arlington police spokeswoman Tiara Richard said.
Witnesses described seeing Monthey walking a small dog across Randol Mill and into the path of the pickup heading west on Randol Mill, Richard said. Officers responded to the emergency call about 3:15 p.m.
The truck struck Monthey and the dog, Richard said. Monthey was taken by ground ambulance to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, where she later died. The dog died at the scene.
