If you didn't get rain this morning, you'll need to wait - maybe for awhile.
Forecasters say there's just a 20 percent chance of rain in North Texas for later today as a cool front moves into the area but most of that will be near the Waco area where there's potential for severe thunderstorms this afternoon.
Thunderstorms skipped past Tarrant County this morning and the chances for rain later today are slim. And the National Weather Service in Fort Worth doesn't have any rain in the forecast for several days.
"Now the McKinney area got almost an inch of rain this morning," said meteorologist Jesse Moore in the NWS office in Fort Worth. "But our best chance was this morning, and we won't have much of a chance in the Metroplex the rest of the day."
