Girl, 2, rushed to hospital after being found in Colleyville pool

A toddler was found in a backyard swimming pool Monday morning in Colleyville after someone in the home noticed her in the water, a Colleyville police spokesman said.

The girl who is about 2 years old was pulled from the pool and flown by helicopter ambulance to Cook Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth.

Colleyville police did not identify the girl or her condition.

“It’s not been determined how long she was in the water,” said Colleyville Police Officer Raymon Cannon, a police department spokesman.

Colleyville police and emergency crews responded to a 911 call at 11:56 a.m. Monday in the 4700 block of Mill Springs Court in Colleyville.

The girl, who police said lives at the residence, was at the house with other children, but she was the only one found in the pool, Cannon said.

Two officers who arrived at the scene administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation to the toddler until paramedics arrived, Cannon said.
