An Alvarado boy was fatally injured Saturday when he was run over by a pickup on a farm near Alvarado, the Johnson County sheriff said Sunday.
The pickup was driven by the boy's 21-year-old aunt, Sheriff Bob Alford said.
Braiden Wright, 3, was pronounced dead at 3:40 p.m. en route to a hospital, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner's office.
The incident occurred at a pond on the farm where a tractor had gotten stuck, Alford said. The aunt and others were trying to pull the tractor out, he said. Braiden and two other children were with her in the pickup.

"The children were supposed to remain in the truck," Alford said. "Somehow, the boy got out of the pickup as she backed the truck up to the tractor."
He died of head injuries, and his death was ruled an accident, the medical examiner reported.
No charges will be filed, Alford said.
"It was just a tragic accident," he said. "She never saw him until it was too late."
On Thursday, a 5-year-old boy was killed in the driveway of his family's home outside Weatherford when he was struck by a pickup driven by his mother, the Parker County sheriff said.
The mother was backing out and didn't see the boy behind the truck, investigators said. Sheriff Larry Fowler said no charges would be filed.
