The loot was hot and cold.

Five teenagers attacked an ice cream vendor Saturday afternoon, stole his wallet and snatched some ice cream in an Irving apartment complex parking lot, police said.

The holdup happened shortly after 5 p.m. Saturday at the Apple Apartments in the 3000 block of W. Walnut Hill Lane in Irving.

The vendor told Irving police that he was at the complex when he was confronted by the teenagers who punched and pushed him, according to Irving police reports.

During the attack, the teenagers grabbed the man’s wallet and various flavors of ice cream, Irving police said.
