ARLINGTON -- Get rewarded for exploring the outdoors as part of Nature Challenge 2010. In the 11-week contest, families must visit as many participating parks, zoos, recreational areas and nature centers in North Central Texas as they can and complete "missions" at each site. Participants can win prizes for visiting the most sites, compiling the best scrapbook or taking the best photo. Opening ceremonies will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Trinity River Audubon Center, 6500 S. Loop 12 in Dallas. Seats are available on the Library Board, Parks and Recreation Board, Building Code Board of Appeals, Convention & Visitors Bureau board of directors, Electrical Code Board of Appeals, Emergency Physician's Advisory Board, Landmark Preservation Commission, Planning and Zoning Commission, License and Amortization Appeal Board, Mechanical and Plumbing Code Board of Appeals, Zoning Board of Adjustment, Citizens Environmental Committee, Sports Facilities Development Authority, Ethics Review Commission, Teen Court Advisory Board and Housing Authority.
