Fort Worth Botanic Garden celebrates spring

You know what's coming: summer. Hot, sweltering summer. So, quick, this weekend, spend some time enjoying the spring weather before it's too hot outside.

Check out the annual Spring Festival on Saturday and Sunday at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden's 7 1/2-acre Japanese Garden. In the peaceful space, you'll find martial arts and swordsmanship demonstrations, traditional Japanese dance, and papermaking. You can see bonsai and ikebana, take part in a tea ceremony, and watch demonstrations of calligraphy and origami.

There'll be activities designed for kids, too, including face-painting. You can shop for art, tour the meditation garden and have your picture taken in Japanese costume. And don't forget to stop by the sushi bar.
