At some point, the 6-year-old walked into the house and his parents didn't see Kyle with him, CPS spokeswoman Marissa Gonzales said.
When the parents looked outside, they saw the toddler in the pool, Gonzales said Tuesday.
The cause of death was drowning and it was ruled an accident, the Web site stated.
Gonzales said that the 6-year-old was allowed to stay with his parents, but CPS continued an investigation.
