Disclaimer: I received a complimentary dining experience at BRAVO! for the purposes of this review.
Getting time to eat kidless and just enjoy a little mama and daddy time doesn't happen often. Actually I can probably count on my hands how many times it has happened in 2013 and most of those times were because 10 p.m. was the first time we had a chance to sit down and enjoy that delicious box of Lean Cuisines.

The lush interior of BRAVO, in the Trinity Commons area on South Hulen, was a great start to a nice and relaxing evening. With a huge 7,000 square foot dining room supported with arched colonnades , the place was buzzin' on this Saturday night. The walls are covered in antique Venetian plaster, Arabescato
However, once we were seated at our special table, the two of us felt like it was just us in the warm and intimate booth. Shortly after we were able to just take a breath and take the weight of parenting off of our shoulders for a few seconds, the waiter was quick to deliver two aperitifs and a lovely basket of bread that is almost enough of a reason to return (really, it's THAT good.)
After salivating over the menu, we finally were able to order. While we considered the Artichoke & Spinach Formaggio, Sausage Fennel Bruschetta, Chicken Parmesan Milanese, and Lobster Ravioli alla Vodka — I couldn't resist from the Lobster Bisque. And the flatbread pizza with caramelized onions, rosemary, roasted portobellos, Gorgonzola ...and more of the bread. Then for my entree...I couldn't decide between so many dishes. So I told the waiter I was craving spinach, shrimp, toma toes and pasta, so the kitchen created a delicious dish just for me!
Now I just needed a cup of coffee and a little something sweet to finish the evening. Well a little something turned into a lot. Considering we couldn't compromise on chocolate or crème brûlée, we did what all great couples do? We ordered both!
Now if you are ready to brave BRAVO! with your kiddos, they are certainly invited to share the experience with their own menu, coloring pages and if you ask real sweetly, a mound of raw dough to keep those hands busy until dinner comes to the table. While I love the option of bringing the kids, sometimes mom and dad just need to eat sans Crayola in the cream sauce. So instead we just order them this amazing layered chocolate cake with the raspberry sauce and brought it home to eat. (And it was sooo good!)
