I am so excited that summer is right around the corner. There's so much to do (and not to do) so I have time to get out and experience all the fun things that DFW has to offer.
One of those is the new SummerFest Wonderland at the Gaylord Texan. Now if you haven't ever been - I truly suggest you make a weekend out of it. However, if you don't have the time or the money to stay, the resort has tons of things this summer you can go and do with an "Alice in Wonderland" theme.
I haven't been yet, so I can't really tell you how great it is, but they have done a wonderful job promoting it and making it sound... well pretty wonderful (I think I need to pick up a thesaurus!) Some of them do have a cost , but there are a few offerings that might be something your family would like to check out for a few hours (and in the air conditioning!)
There are so many cool events coming up, but here's a run down of the ones thought caught my attention and are FREE (this is from their website.)
Alice through the Atrium Glass

Elements from his two books Alice’s Adventures In Wonderland and Alice through The Looking Glass And What She Found There are represented in a variety of different media such as huge sand sculptures, topiary, glass and metal art.
