Husband arrested in death of Arlington woman

ARLINGTON — Police Tuesday arrested the husband of a woman who was found dead in her north Arlington apartment Sunday. Clifford James Caldwell, 43, is accused in the death of his wife, Tanya Caldwell, police said. He is being held at the Arlington Jail on $100,000 bail.

Police found Tanya Caldwell's body shortly after 9 a.m. Sunday inside an apartment in the 2900 block of Forest Hollow Lane, after her three sons told a neighbor that their mother was dead.

Detectives had been looking for Clifford Caldwell since they were called Sunday. He did not meet with detectives until Tuesday, where he discussed his role in the death, police said. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s office has yet to determine the cause of death.
