2 Fort Worth banks robbed 40 minutes apart

Police were investigating two west Fort Worth bank robberies that occurred less than 40 minutes apart Tuesday morning.

The first robbery was reported at 9:20 a.m. at Liberty Bank, 5702 Locke Ave., according to police reports. The suspect was described as a Hispanic man, about 5 feet 7 inches and wearing a brown hooded sweatshirt.

The second robbery occurred at 9:51 a.m. at Wachovia Bank, 525 Carroll St. No suspect information was immediately available.
