The crash happened shortly before 5:30 a.m. Monday in the 4200 block of Woodgate Drive.
A Honda Accord traveling at a high rate of speed was westbound on Fossil Ridge Drive when the driver lost control of his car, police said. The car hit two curbs and then smashed into a bedroom of a house, police said.
Ben Larmouth, 54, and his wife, Sarah Larmouth, 45, were injured when the car landed in their bedroom, police said. The couple managed to crawl through the debris, police said. Their injuries were not life threatening, police said.
Meanwhile, the driver fled the scene, police said. But police tracked down the motorist by using a Fort Worth police citation found inside of the car and following a bloody trail from the accident scene to a house on Fossil Ridge Drive.
The cause of the accident was still under investigation.
