Two people were transported to hospitals Wednesday after a school bus and an SUV collided in an east Arlington neighborhood at about 4 p.m. Injuries were believed to be minor, fire and police department officials said.
The Arlington school district bus was carrying one student, a faculty member and the driver, Fire Department Capt. Warren Muncy said. The faculty member was taken for observation. The SUV passenger was transported with lacerations from broken glass, he said. Both occupants of the SUV were minors.
Preliminary investigations indicated that the driver of the SUV, a Chevy Trailblazer, turned left in front of the school bus causing the low-speed wreck, police Officer Jon Bucek said. The driver thought the intersection was a four-way stop, Bucek said.
